Movie Review of "Tanu Weds Manu"

Director:   Anand L Rai
Cast:    R.Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut,Jimmy Shergill

Story:
The NRI ,Madhavan is a soft-spoken,old fashioned ,humble guy who believes in arrange marriages. He comes to India to look for a bride and Kangana lives in Kanpur with her family..

This small town bride is completely bold and forward as she  smokes, drinks ,has had affairs with many guys ,gets her boyfriend's name tattooed on her chest.

"Kangana" has a boyfriend who threatens "Madhavan" to say no to the Marriage but Madhavan kept falling in love with her every day. There are few moments in the film that would remind you of "Jab We Met"as Kangana is as lively and swears like Kareena and Madhavan underplays his character just like Shahid did with almost the same serious-spectacled look.

Madhavan is as wonderful as he has been and you can't stop loving his character when he gives that innocent smile. His best friends "Deepak Dobriyal and Eijaz Khan" add more fun and spark. On the other side, it is the Payal (Swara Bhaskar) who plays Kangna's counsel and friend.

The Climax has a lot of confusion but that adds to the fun and is definitely one the best parts of the film. The music is apt to the movie specially while watching"Sadi Galli",it is difficult to resist your steps from dancing.

On the whole,an entertaining movie with some refreshing music and screenplay, the movie will take you through a roller-coater ride of emotions, joy and happiness. The movie is good for the youngsters and represents the new era of love stories today. It comes across as a Film for the masses and is expected to do good business though out the country.
