Dhobi Ghat(****) is set to release today 21 January 2011. Director Kiran Rao made the best effort in her directorial debut for Dhobi Ghat It is a different kind of movie, it shows the various aspects of poverty in the lives of the people of Mumbai.
"The movie is a story about four people from different walks of life. These people somehow happen to cross each others paths and after that their lives were never the same. The characters include Arun (Aamir khan) the painter, Munna (Prateik) the dhobi, Shai (Monica) the banker and Yasmin (Kriti) the newly wed bringing back the records of her life in Mumbai for her brother back home.
As the movie progresses the characters feel compelled to build stronger relationships but face one or other form of resistance by the very city that brings them together.".
The performer in the movie, is Amir Khan the perfectionist brings out the best in himself, but Prateik Babbar also does a Excellent job. Director Kiran Rao does very good job he really deserve full greades for making this a treat to watch.The Movie deserve the applause and standing ovation both. I will give it 4 star.
